The SWOT Ultrapulse Dental CO2 Laser is designed specifically for intraoral soft tissue applications, utilizing a wavelength around 10.6 μm, which is highly absorbed by water in soft tissue. This allows for precise incision, ablation, and coagulation simultaneously, making it ideal for gum cutting procedures. 

Compared to diode lasers, CO2 lasers provide superior cutting precision and better bleeding control, as the energy is absorbed directly at the tissue surface, reducing deep thermal damage. 

This makes the system highly effective for:

  • Gingivectomy / gingivoplasty 
  • Crown lengthening (soft tissue)
  • Frenectomy 
  • Operculectomy 
  • Soft tissue lesion removal

The system can be configured with dental-specific handpieces (pen-type delivery or articulated arm) to allow fine control similar to a surgical scalpel. The non-contact operation reduces mechanical trauma, improves sterilization, and enhances patient comfort.
